As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote For parents or guardians thinking about going to this school, DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD GO TO ROCKWOOD VALLEY!

I went there and the students made fun of me by what I wore, who I talked to, what mistakes I made, what I liked, basically everything about me.

The teachers never helped me with anything. Not even the questions I asked! (I started failing all my classes.) The teachers gave me more homework than the other students.

The principals always sent me to ISS (In School Suspension) everyday, AND I NEVER DID ANYTHING WRONG! I once got slapped on the back really hard by a bully I had, so I yelled at him for what he did. I got a 6 day OSS(Out of School Suspension), and the bully got a lunch detention for one day.

My mother always reported bullying everyday, and the school never did anything about it. So, she took me out of that H*ll Hole and home schooled me for 2 1/2 years.

The school I'm going to now is Wildwood Middle School. Its a ton better than RVMS.
The kids are nice, the teachers are kind, and the students are so friendly! I would recommend this school to anybody.

This isn't really a review. ITS A WARNING! DON'T GO TO ROCKWOOD VALLEY!!! EVER!!!! Close Quote

Open Quote Everyone from the teachers, administrators, and other staff work together to ensure your child has a easy time transitioning from elementary school to middle school. They are invested in the students with every teacher offering after school help weekly most bi weekly. Communication is very important and they strive to keep everyone in the loop. Challenge courses offer that extra needed for students easily bored. Have been very pleased. Came from Parkway which has been declining in value and education. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
