Our child attended this school for 5 years, from its day one. We see it grow and develop. The school is still in search of a good working model. Many of the expectations we had at the beginning did not come true. If government allowed them selection testing of applicants, the results would have been better. Most importantly, the quality of teachers is very uneven. Some great, some slacking. This is an aspiring project that lacks leadership and transparency. Close Quote

Worst experience ever!!! When your child comes home and asks to go to summer school because she doesn't feel prepared for the next grade. HORRIFYING!!!!
Bullying from students and teachers is the worst. Violence, weapons, too friendly of staff. I spent more time at this school fighting for my child to get a peaceful and basic education than I did in her elementary school and I volunteered there 3 times a month! PGCPS needs to either fully support their charter schools or close them down completely. Close Quote

I am the parent of a 6th grader. My child went from a Honor Roll student to failing. Teachers do not communicate with parents or even assist the kids. Administration is very unorganized and honestly seems like favoritism is shown to the children of University of Maryland professors and staff. .... It's an internet school. Technically not difficult. However, many teachers don't really teach. For some classes, they have substitutes. For some classes, they actually don't have teachers.
Many teachers are not available to talk over students progress.
