As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote The school has to follow the Common Core because it is a county public school however, they do a great job continuing the Montessori curriculum at the same time! My daughter started in Pre-K 3 where they were a half day student, which is why they did not participate in all activities. They welcome me into the building whenever I want to volunteer, you just have to have the county required background check. They take the students on multiple field trips and provide a lot of wonderful experiences! My only concern is the communication between the school and parents. They do everything via Rallyhood and sometimes it is not the most effective way to communicate as well, sometimes the communication is sent out with very short notice for the parents.
My daughter loves it here! The school is preparing the students for high school and beyond. I am glad they have to incorporate the Common Core and the standards and expectations for the state curriculum because the county does not have a Montessori High School and therefore our students have to be able to adjust to the "regular" school life, which many students who come from Montessori struggle to do. They provide a good balance for our children! Close Quote

Open Quote Feels they could apply the Montessori approach more. The Pre-K children are excluded from special activities. (Field trips and some Fundraisers) There is a lack of enthusiasm to have parents in the classroom. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
