As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote As a parent of a student at this school, I can say that this school is in serious trouble!!! The students run the school and teachers are not allowed to discipline students effectively while the principal encourages bad behavior. Kids often tell me that they hear her talking behind teachers' backs with other students. She refuses to correct them and this sends a mixed signal to young minds. Based on what my daughter and her teachers have said some students believe that they have a special relationship with her that overrides the teachers' authority. They do as they please in the classroom, hallways and cafeteria and have no respect for the other (i guess lesser) adults.

She has often stated that it's her school but she is soft on kids and does not help teachers. My child needs strong teachers who can do their work effectively but the kids clearly run the school, thanks to the principal's babying of them. I plan to remove my daughter next year because I can't see her learning in a respectful, structured environment where respect for adults is CLEARLY NOT modeled. I think my daughter's favorite teachers could be leaving because they think the place is a joke but teachers are always leaving.

Oh, there are so many cell phones at the middle school...it's like a Verizon store. But that's ok...the principal is always texting and often unavailable when middle schoolers or elementary kids run crazy. I've heard students say that they text her back and forth during class time so....what the heck! It's OPEN SEASON there. Forget the new building. They're tearing it up. Kids will tell you they run the school, then cuss you out. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
