St Mary's School

My daughter is in the kindergarten at St. Mary's, where we enrolled her a few weeks into the school year after deciding against homeschooling. We were openly embraced by St. Mary's, where the education of the students there is highly valued by the staff. Academics appear to be taken seriously without being overly competitive or superficial. It is a very small school and requires a lot of direct (and mandatory to varying degrees) involvement from its parents. I feel that my daughter's specihfic needs have been acknowledged and attended to, and the school tries to be sensitive to the multiculturalism that we bring. My understanding is that for the past 15 or 16 years, both the graduating valedictorian and salutatorian at the Lee High School have been St. Mary's grads. It's a good school, one to be proud of, but do know that you as a parent of a student there are required to be very involved. It's a significant commitment, but it seems to me a worthy one.
