Open Quote St. Joseph School has, over the years ,delivered a first class education for the children of Webster and surrounding towns. The graduates of this Roman Catholic school have proved themselves to be outstanding citizens, intellectually motivated and people of high moral standards. Recently, there has been a decline in student enrollment. Some parents feel that the pastor was oblivious to their desires and demands. They felt that he was only interested in his own gratification. Through my experience, this is far from the truth. What is so wrong with building a school that
has all the most up to date amenities and learning tools that is superior, or can compare with any other school in the area? Yes, it does take financial support to keep competitive and solicitation of funds is an ongoing chore. A headmaster of a school must make decisions that may not be popular with everybody, but this pastor surely has the best interests of the children at heart. I truly feel that the current school, with it's new lay principal and excellent curriculum, will shine amongst elementary schools in the area as it has for decades. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
