As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This school is a joke. It always has a fundraiser going on, but where does the money go? It doesn't go into the classrooms. The teachers have to do their own Donors Choose fundraisers. I have yet to see any administration in our 4 years at this school. The teachers do not know what they are doing and are as annoyed with the fundraisers and lack of leadership as the parents. There are several teachers that we have had to "deal" with since we have been at this school, and they are a disgrace to teaching. If you are simply presenting a presentation from learnzillion, you are not a teacher you are a robot that needs to be repaired. If you want a quality education where your children are actually nurtured, encouraged, and prepared for the next grade, find another school. Sorry. Close Quote

Open Quote The teachers are dedicated to the students. The curriculum is very well organized. They emphasize responsibility and accountability. I have 4 kids, and they are all responding very well. I love this school. Close Quote

Open Quote Stockwell is a good school. I must advise military families to be careful about choosing this school. Dealing with moving and having to deploy from time to time the teachers are not understanding at all. I tried to work as hard as I could with my child's teacher and she was an idiot (kindergarten). She name called her students, and even taught her students to ridicule each other when they exhibited the wrong behavior (seen it myself). I mean they tell you what you want to hear in the beginning, and all of a sudden you finally see through the smoke, and recess is a joke. The administration wants to run it like a military school, but they are way off base. I think the first year for a child should be met with patience, but stockwell is only concerned with being a blue ribbon school. Blue Ribbon or not that school is not the best in the area. If I could I would have my kids at W.T. Lewis, which allot of good teachers have left stockwell for anyway. Be cautious with your child's education, and please know what's going on in their classroom especially the first year. Close Quote

Open Quote Wonderful school if your child is above average. If your child is a slow learner, he/she won't get the help they need. No positive words from teachers to help promote self esteem. Teacher/parent communication is poor. Teacher's don't make an effort to contact parents. If a parent tries to contact the teacher for a conference you get the run around. Some the other schools like Sun City, Waller and Kerr are great. I have heard so many good things from those schools. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
