As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote We LOVE Eisenhower!!! Our son is heartbroken that the school year is nearly over because he loves going to school. This school is fantastic at keeping the students challenged and very busy! So glad we got to be a part of the IKE Eagle family. Close Quote

Open Quote Sadly, our experience at Eisenhower has been less than stellar. Out of our numerous military moves, this is the worst school my child has attended. While the building itself is beautiful, the quality of instruction within is lacking. We had issues with my child's teacher from the very first day. She was cold and condescending at open house and has maintained her attitude all year long. At the first conference, she could not tell us anything about our child other than (word for word), "Well, he's not a problem." There is no communication from the teacher and very little from the school. There is ZERO individualization. All students are given the exact same work and activities despite their current levels. When I asked about this during a conference, I was given an attitude and told "that is how we do things here." Antiquated instructional strategies (isolated spelling lists, busy work, long worksheets, etc.) have left my child less than engaged. I could write a novel about all the issues we have had this year. Be aware-- if you live off post and enroll your child in elementary school on post, you will be placed at Eisenhower (all off-post families are). Be sure to visit/explore your assigned neighborhood school-- it may be a better fit for your child. I hope others have a better experience than we did. Close Quote

Open Quote Attention: If you are moving into this school and have a gifted student.

You will have to appeal through the local county Special Education cooperative and state education department in order to get attention for your child.

There are 2 long standing practices the school administration uses to discourage consideration for the gifted program: 1) using test scores as the sole criteria contrary to state and county guidelines and 2) an informal policy not allowing administrators to inform parents of their rights according to Kansas law that parents can request an evaluation.

Administrators are opposed to complying with the standards and are frightened of reprisal if they were to violate the local policy regarding rights notification.

Its an unfortunate mark on an otherwise good school. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
