Open Quote This is our first year at Rockford Lutheran Academy, and we are extremely happy we made the change!

The school academically is far above the others in the area. This was obvious from the first Maps test my daughter was given as a way for them to see where she was academically when registering. As a bonus, she was one of the kids who scored highest on her testing date and got a little scholarship. It wasn't much, but with private schools every dime helps. She is in 4th and tested into 5th grade reading and math and has had straight A's all year. Unfortunate that her prior school did nothing to challenge her. This school truly monitors the children's progress and if they need help, they get it and if they are advanced they get challenged. They also listen to your concerns when they arise and are a community (ie. not afraid of parents coming through their doors). Just wish we had made the change sooner! Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
