Open Quote This school has changed our family’s lives for the better. We were originally interested in the Waldorf approach to learning since our daughter was in Kindergarten but never applied here as we felt we would never be able to afford a private school tuition. We enrolled her in public school but found that we didn’t align with the lack of time outdoors, the lack of exposure to the arts, a curriculum that wasn’t focused on sensory integration, or classroom management tools based on dominance and punishment rather than collaborative problem solving and identifying skills that needed additional support. No one was happy. We revisited the idea of enrolling her at a Waldorf school and found that the Family Individualized Tuition model and Financial Aid that Waldorf of Dupage offers made this possible for our family. Since her enrollment in 2021-2022 school year, the Faculty and Staff have supported our daughter with everything she’s needed to gain confidence, excel academically, and make friendships she’ll likely have for the rest of her life. My child is respected, treated with dignity, and honored as an individual. We are all happier now. It’s really a special little place Close Quote

Open Quote My years as a student here were some of the worst of my life. It's a horrible school. The teachers are incompetent and leave students completely unprepared to transition to another school after graduation. Bullying is rampant and is even encouraged by teachers (particular students are often singled out as a scapegoat for the entire grade level to bully without consequences. in particular this seems to happen to poor and disabled students). Don't send your child here. Close Quote

Open Quote This is a school which embraces a child's spirit as well as his or her mind. The pedagogy and curriculum are age appropriate. Children are allowed to be children. The arts, music and foreign language play important roles in this school. My children have vivid imaginations due in great part to this curriculum. I believe this will help them be problem solvers and innovators later in life. Close Quote

Open Quote This school really helps our son grow as a responsible individual. Young minds are challenged here to better understand the world that we live in. Learning is fun, the teachers are very caring. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
