As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote The school presents will a high level of complacent teachers who are thrilled when they get students past the 70 mark. Pushing students to exceed beyond the average is not an attitude teachers care much about at this school. Differentiated instruction is not a concept the school understands or strives to achieve. Older more experienced teachers walk around with an attitude of entitlement with high salaries and a refusal to go above and beyond what they have been comfortable doing for many years. Close Quote

Open Quote They should spend more time challenging students academically instead of putting so much effort on positive/negative behavior policies. So disappointed to go to a curriculum night and hear more about behavior practices instead of curriculum. Close Quote

Open Quote Spring Hills Elementary School is a wonderful school. I have two children who attend and they love it. I cannot say more wonderful things about the teachers. The principal is very down to earth and works well with the students. My son had trouble reading and they have helped him greatly with their pull-out program. He has now tested better than he ever has and his reading is much more fluid. The school is located in a nice, clean neighborhood. I highly recommend Spring Hills School! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
