As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I was among the first graduating class, attending first thru sixth grade at Kimball Hill in 1960. Things have changed there since it was the only school in Rolling Meadows. The only "diversity" in those days was whether you were Catholic, Protestant or Jewish. Rolling Meadows consisted of roughly 100 homes. My father ran for Mayor in the city's mayoral election. Open Quote As a citizen and a former student & a Parent, I would have to say the school then and now needs a better system for educating Special Education kids and not hiding behind the poor manners of not spending the districts money wisely on the testing needs that children need most.

Instead they make up stories of how many times they can disagree with Parent's and Doctor's who end up suing the district only because their children deserve the Special services that schools are supposed to provide in the first place for children with the special needs!!!

If I would have been given an IEP, I would have accelerated farther then I am today. Kimball Hill School is not all it is cracked up to be! Take it from someone who has been there and is still fighting them not for me but now for my child!

Unfortunately, I have not been able to move out of this town and my child has to suffer in the fight because they will not give my child an IEP. In which case I have been fighting them for 3 years now. Soon my child will be in Middle School and I will then be fighting that school as well. I will win this time! And I will have the last word!!! About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
