As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote The place isn't terrible, most of the teachers are good at what the teach and add something to the experience. A lot of the teachers are good with students and are able to handle most scenarios, while making the class fun and engaging. I've found that some teachers, as well as a large portion of the administration at the district, are seemingly not capable of performing their job to a level on-par with the rest of the teachers in the district. The principal at Millburn Elementary is almost always ready to do something and help students, the Vice Principal is in a similar scenario. The Principal here (as of 2018) has not done enough to help with students, and after talks with friends and family, has not helped them either when they had requests. I've found that extracurriculars that are outside Sports don't seem to get much attention from administration either. Band is neglected greatly and one to three parents are advocating for the firing of the schools 16 year band director, the district is only following along with the loudest minority and the superintendent says he has to, "please everybody". Any person would know is impossible, especially when your job is public relations with a school district, even one that's as small as this one. Extracurriculars started by the students are even worse. Even if the teacher that decides to work with your group is there for more than the 50 dollars per student, the school, and OTHER TEACHERS will try their hardest to kneecap your program just because they can, or because they feel jealous that a student is trying to do something interesting other than strictly learning inside the school walls.

Overall, a lot of the teachers are really well, but the administration and a few distinct students in the school need some level of formal reeducation. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
