As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote The school academically is very well rounded, and being attached to Scott AFB is a plus. This being said, I am a current resident of Scott AFB In patriots landing, and want to make sure everyone understand that there is no school bus system offered if you live in patriots. Sure in the warmer months it isn't too bad to walk your kids to school, however in the colder months it requires driving them on, and with a child in preschool I had to drive Off of base to get to the school and then back on. This caused gas expenditures that were not in our budget. I would also like to include that there seems to be no special considerations, at least from what I have been told. I have frequent migraines that often leave me all but debilitated, very much incapable of driving or walking my kids to school, so they would miss school. Fall behind on their studies. Housing also would not work with us to allow a move to a school bus friendly part of housing. It created a long drawn out issue. Then when my third child went into preschool that was another trip to school I spent more time driving and waiting on my children at their school than anything else I did all day. The scheduling is horrid for pick - ups as is the traffic problem with pick up and drop offs. I have pulled all three of my children from the school and have chosen to home school them. The front of office staff on numerous occasions have treated me with rude and sarcastic comments making the experience at the school even worse than before. The only saving grace truly are the teachers, the 4 we've dealt with have been amazing and the only reason we stayed as long as we did. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
