Open Quote For all prospective parents thinking of enrolling your child at Clearwater Academy for the 2018-19 school year (and beyond), before you sign a contract, be aware that the current Director is withholding the fact that the assistant Director and about 40 of the current staff either resigned, or won’t be back for the upcoming school year. They will also not have the upper level academics that you have been promised for your child because all of those teachers won’t be around next year. Also many of the extracurricular activities that have been promised won’t be offered next year (though the tuition will stay the same) and the remaining staff is receiving a raise. I am pulling my child out to pursue other options and wanted you all to have this information before you sign your child up for next year. Close Quote

Open Quote The administration at this school is horrific. They are consistently disrespectful to parents and faculty. If you are considering enrolling your child here, asked for a detail of their books for the past few years. Each year they have been around $200,000 in the hole (you read that right!). The current owners have covered the shortfall each year but they are no longer doing that. This school is teetering on the brink of bankruptcy and will likely not be around in 2 years. Please for your child's sake, avoid this horrible school at all cost. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
