Open Quote Amazing school with dedicated teachers and many rich programs for students to get involved in during their time there. This school is very rigorous and prepares children to do well in middle school and beyond. My child attended and now is doing really well as a middle school student. They have clearly set expectations for parental engagement, so parents who don't want to get involved in the process should be aware that children do better when parents and teachers work together. The administration is responsive and very understanding. The principal is a nationally known educator who loves children. I highly recommend this school. Close Quote

Open Quote I read a previous comment and I must say that has not been my experience at all. My children have had teachers that do a great job with positive behavior reinforcement. The communication that this school provides is superb. Teacher send home newsletters, websites, contact parents directly through classroom management apps like classdojo, etc. The PTA is active and plan wonderful events and opportunities for the students and staff. I have been very pleased with our experiences here. Close Quote

Open Quote No behavior management by administration, outrageous bullying of students and teachers by other students, outrageous hallway and classroom outbursts and displays, students regularly needed to be physically restrained or carried, absolutely no consequences or follow-through on discipline by Administrators. This school is such a sad, far cry from what is was just a couple of years ago under the previous principal. The Head sets the tone. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
