Open Quote I ended up homeschooling my 7th grade due to constant bullying, extremely disrespectful kids and the school being rated a chronically failing school in Chatham Count . Close Quote

Open Quote I've personally witnessed wonderful teachers at this school get lied to, misinformed, and even bullied into trying to put uneligible students on an IEP so that the parents can get a government check. The teachers try many strategies to get underachieving students where they need to be, but let's face it, teachers cannot undo years of piss-poor parenting. There are so many students wo want to learn and who are successfull, but like any school, there will be a handful of students who simply cannot and will not be successfull by their own fault, and by their parents who never led their child down the right path socially, behaviorally, and academically. 504 plans and IEPs are put in place depending on students' needs and eligibilities and are carried out with fidelity every day. Open Quote If your child has special needs do not let them attend this school. This school does not know the difference between a 504 plan and IEP. Numerous teachers disrespect students by calling them names infront of other students and speak to them in a manner that is unprofessional. Move out of the county if you have too but stay away from this school if you want you child to succeed in life. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
