Open Quote What a disappointment. Be very cautious if you're considering this school. Ask a lot of questions and make sure you get everything in writing, especially their promises. Somehow they convince you that your child's individuality will be welcomed. Well, if you and your children do not drink the Waldorfian cool-aid, then prepare yourself for a living hell. The complaints will be endless because their teachers are not trained to handle anything outside of the scope of their "religion" (Waldorf teachings). Oh, and your children must believe in gnomes at least until they're in 6th or 7th grade. If they don't, they'll be perceived as "too awakened" and ridiculed by the others. Close Quote

Open Quote Considering this school? BEWARE. I am a lover and true believer of the Waldorf method and theory. If you are too, than this school is NOT for you. It is a very badly run school with administrators who have no idea how to deal with parents, and in some cases, children. There are MANY unhappy children and families that attend this school and many are bullied by faculty and administration not to speak openly. For the time we spent at this school, my child has gained creativity and for that I am happy. However, my child has also dealt with unruly children and teachers that can not take control. Children with learning abilities far behind where they should be - even for a Waldorf curriculum, and a whole host of other issues. When a parent shows a concern about anything, they are essentially ignored and then "black listed." And in some cases their child may be targeted as well. The main problem with this school is the total lack of knowledge by administrators of how to run a school and how to handle parents and normal situations that arise in school. I urge you to look elsewhere and not get sucked into how beautiful they make their school appear. "Never judge a book by it's cover." Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
