Open Quote Bayshore has problems - significant problems... Their curriculum appears to be outdated and at least some of their teachers don't seem as knowledgeable about current science and teaching methods as in what I've seen in public school. After tens of thousands of dollars and many years of attending Bayshore Christian School, I enrolled my child into a public school. After an initial rough start due to acclimation and catching up, my child is excelling beyond expectations! It is my opinion that Bayshore limits their students' critical reasoning skills. They have also had problems with bullying and recently had to bring in outside help; however, the problem doesn't seem to have abated. Recently they notified parents and teachers of a "lockdown" due to an alleged student threat which apparently involved the Tampa Police Department. I doubt this school is any safer than a public school, and since many public schools have safety officers and they don't, there could be more risk here than in a free public school. I am convinced that their teaching quality is far less in some areas than public school. I would definitely avoid enrolling your child(ren) here. Close Quote

Open Quote I second the opinion of the review above. My child has not been diagnosed with any disability, but is bored with the public school curriculum. My child is scoring above level in gifted classes at public school and is so bored that she/he seeks attention. Bayshore turned their back on our family and wouldn't even give my child a chance. Open Quote This school claims to be Christian but sadly lacks in Christian values. If your child is diagnosed with a learning disability, even if the child is on the honor roll, you will be denied. They are only interested in students who fit into their mold. They do not want to put in any extra effort to educate children. Their main interest is in collecting as much money as they can as efficiently as possible. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
