Open Quote This school is awful. They don't stop bullying, and instead gaslight the victims. Even teachers participate in the harassment of students. If a parent dares to call them out and demand something get done, the parent gets blocked from all social media and banned from the property so a 3rd party has to drop off and pick up their child. They consider 5th grade to be middle school but they are not allowed to participate in middle school events and activities unless the school cam make money off of it. They make up rules as they go and bend them to not get their favorite students in trouble. I heard a student call an employee a b!tch for trying to take away their phone that they shouldnt have been using, the employee went to the Dean of Students and was told "we dont mess with that kid, he has issues, just leave him alone". They collectively punish all the kids for the actions of a few instead of just disciplining the kids breaking rules. They don't have to give kids recess either, they are exempt from that FL law. Garbage school with garbage administration. Close Quote

Open Quote My son has attended since kindergarten. He absolutely loves his school. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they always have so many fun activities going on. The classroom sizes are also ideal for allowing more one on one time for each individual child. Close Quote

Open Quote The school needs to develop a new pickup/drop off process. If you're picking your kid up, show up at 3:30 vs 3:00 or earlier. The staff is friendly. My daughter got lice 3 times in the first few months of school. That was fun. Haven't had a problem since. Giselle in lane 2 is the bomb. Ms. Coburn(principal) and Ms. Jackson(assistant) are responsive and friendly. Deputy Tracy is also very nice, I enjoy seeing her around. The principal allowed me to write off my lice treatments as hours which shows the level of cooperation and willingness to work with you. Overall, I'm happy with this place. Close Quote

Open Quote We love RCSSL!! My daughter has been attending for the last 3 years and we have always had good experiences with the teachers and staff. My daughter was actually upset when we no longer needed to utilize the before and aftercare program because she enjoyed it so much. Only complaint would be the lack of parking, makes it very difficult to attend ceremonies and other family oriented events. Close Quote

Open Quote I highly recommend this school. My daughter has been attending since kindergarten and every year she goes back, the school has made several steps to improve. The multitude of outlets in which they communicate with parents is unparalleled. The security update throughout the school is impressive and coming back each year to see the same similar faces of the staff, teachers and administration is refreshing. I am without a shadow of a doubt super proud to send my kid here everyday. Thank you for your continued effort to improve and maintain a great “A” school. Close Quote

Open Quote Don't ever send your kids here. The teachers don't care and the admin staff cares even less. My sons teacher does nothing but yell at her class of 2cnd grade kids all day. It's sad. I have reached out to the admin staff on multiple occasions and they dodge any parent issue. Its not fair to the students or the parents. Were paying for privet school next year to get the heck out of crappy renaissance. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
