Open Quote Your child's success at this school is completely on your shoulders. Counselor are not motivated, never available, & never guide the student. Counselors & Teachers dismiss students when they try to get assistance. As a parent you will have to make several calls/emails to get any issues resolved. Students are left on their own to discover scholarships, navigate the SAT, or college application assistance.
I’ve had two children go through Eustis High School, it has become worse over time. My child is completely on their own, they are lucky I was able to assist them. Most parents don't have the understanding/resources to help their child.
I am disappointed in this school, they need to start treating students like customers, & stop dismissing them as if they are a bother. Administrators purposely omit & hide their email or contact information. This is due to the frustration of parents trying to get things done. When a counselor or teacher doesn't resolve an issue, parents get frustrated & want to communicate with the administrators for assistance. The Principle has stopped that.
This high school needs a completely new focus. It's time for them to stop just collecting a pay check. Close Quote

Open Quote My child attended Eustis High School for the 2011-2012 year. As a parent, I want my child to get the best education possible and make sure my child has a learning environment with no distractions. My child is put in all advanced classes, and has straight A's. She is doing excellent in school with no problems. The teachers and staff and Eustis High are great, and are always very welcoming. I highly recommend this school. Mr.Larry, the principle at Eustis High, is very involved in the kid's learning, as well as the sports.
I rate this school with 5 stars!!! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
