Open Quote I'm a school involved mom, and a substitute teacher. I love this school, I love the teachers, I love the children. 2014\15 -2015\16 and thus far, I have seen nothing more glamorous at any other school that West Riverside does have from any other. It is a Dual enrolled language program magnet school. And a FYI.. the testing for such spanish speakers/and Esol programs has never been adjusted by the school system. Which causes the school to have lower grades, not the children. So do not be discouraged by those, if its a concern. This is a very wonderful diverse school :)

No school is without its man made oops, faults, glitches,or eletroninal quirks for the person who made such odd comment. Close Quote

Open Quote apparently your kid doesn't have to actually go to school to pass! My son only attended about 70 days out of 180 days last year due to week on week off custody and The school marked my kid there 124 days!! when we asked why they said it is computerized, which means kids can skip school and they wont even know, so this school doesn't even know if ur kid is there or not!! worst school I have ever seen, You have to be a bad parent to send your kids there... About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
