Open Quote am a mother of a former Curry student. From one parent to another, please do NOT send your child to this school. There is a lot of bullying happening in this school and the principal does absolutely NOTHING to put the bullying to rest. She doesn't address it, simply ignores it or tries to find other reasons as to why your child may be feeling down. My child was not the only child to be bullied while attending this school. If you do not remain quiet with the bullying issue, the school will kick your child out of the school. If your child is continuously bullied, you can contact DCF and the Department of Education to have them investigate the existing issue. This school loves to have morning meetings that run past the first bell to homeroom, leaving the children in the open just standing around, waiting for the school staff to conclude their never ending meetings. They do not care about your child's emotional well being nor try to enforce NO BULLYING. They have cameras on school grounds yet do not look at the recordings to investigate any issues. The bathrooms rarely have any soap or paper towels available for students. Read the comments below, THERE HAVE BEEN AND CONTINUE TO BE EXISTING BULLYING ISSUES WHICH ARE NEVER ADDRESSED. Again, call DCF to file a report of the issue should your child be bullied. You will notice a change in your child's behavior if he/she is being bullied. DO NOT listen to school staff excuses. Observe your child. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
