Open Quote My goodness! having to leave 1 star just to write a review really is insane. The only thing good about this school is Mrs. Quesada, and Mrs. Vargas (4th grade). The principal all she cares about is the school reputation, and likes to be fake in front of parents, acting like she actually cares for the kids. There were a few incidents back to back I tried to get ahold of her for to get to the bottom of it, and no answer. My son was treated horribly several times by cafeteria ladies not once did she call me back or respond to the several emails I'd sent. Every day in school there were constant fights, and constant bullying. If you're from a Hispanic background or white background, PLEASE STAY AWAY. YOUR CHILD WILL GET TREATED UNFAIRLY, being as they will be the minority. Unfortunately this is how the school runs, and everyone knows it. Thing is know one says a word because of how our times are. I REGRET THE DAY I put my son here! The ladies in the front desk, are the rudest, and they don't even know what's going on with the school at times. You ask a question, they leave you on hold and then hang up. Please, stay away from this school, your child will come home crying! Close Quote

Open Quote Both of my kids have gotten an excellent education at this school. My daughter graduated in the top ten of her class here. My son is currently enrolled in the gifted program also doing very well. I've had good interactions with teachers every year. They go beyond to make sure kids are advancing in all areas of development. I believe with strong parent interaction your child can excel anywhere. Close Quote

Open Quote Principal Dr Cary is very unprofessional. And doesn't know how to talk to her students. Instead of guiding her students the right way she bashes them and puts fear in their hearts and minimizes them. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
