Open Quote This school is AMAZING! I love that my kids are happy and learning in a fun way, that isn't designed to stress them out. There is no "teaching to the test" that we hear so much about these days. The parents are friendly and active and as new parents we were welcomed and made to feel like part of the school community right away. My kids made friends fast and love it here. It's the little things that stand out at SMSM. For instance, the principal stands out front each morning and greets each child. It doesn't matter if its raining, cold, hot or beautiful out- she's there to say good morning to the kids getting off the bus and hello to the kids and parents walking in. The children are so well mannered- please, thank you, excuse me, which is sometimes lost on the youth of today. It's refreshing to know that there is some place where children can be held to a higher expectation and flourish. We are so happy we stumbled across the best kept secret in the CT Valley! About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
