As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I feel that Winograd has been the best schooling experience for my children. I moved my oldest to Winograd at a pivotal point right before middle school and my youngest started out there from Kindergarten. The teachers and administrators are focused on the success of each child. My children are thriving and happy and it was a complete turn around from the prior school for my oldest. They hold kiss accountable for their actions, teach values such as respect and compassion , I believe that's what's missing from other schools. They recognize students for achievement and help them when they are struggling. I really feel like it's a no kid left behind kind of environment. Close Quote

Open Quote Check out the statistics on this school! Something is happening here! One of the highest rates of free and reduced lunch students- that equates to low socio economics within the student body. The highest test scores and achievement scores in the county! This is a rare in our present school system. Usually the higher achieving schools are charter schools with hand picked students who families can afford the "trappings". This is a public school with these incredible scores??? Start asking questions???? Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
