Open Quote This is a wonderful little school! My son graduated from Valley Waldorf and had a wonderful experience, knew math better than other kids going into high school from other private schools too! He did great in private high school afterwards. He's now at UCSC in second year and doing great. Waldorf education really teaches the kids how to think and how to write. At VW the teachers just somehow make learning so great that the kids are happy to do homework, love to learn to read, etc. Learning is experiencial in many cases so the kids really internalize the subjects without having to do excessive hours and hours of homework every night. They make learning alive for their students. You have to experience it to really understand how nurturing and great this school is. They have a great tuition program too. It is called 'available to all' so that almost no one is turned away for not being able to pay the whole tuition if you are really committed to this kind of education for your child. It gets 5 stars hands down. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
