Open Quote My son is in Kindergarten at Our Lady of Grace. He loves it, and my wife and I love it. My son has the greatest teacher, Mrs. Fisher. I really can't imagine a better kindergarten teacher. In comparing notes with my neighbor whose son goes to kindergarten at the public school near our house, I found that the teacher-student ratio at OLG is really low compared to the public school. Also, the reading and math skills that my son is learning are far ahead of what my neighbor's son is learning.

Also, by attending OLG, my son gets developmental opportunities that I believe don't exist in a public school. For example, the school has bingo night, movie night, annual fall festival, pancake breatkfast, pasta dinner, and other events. Since my son is only 5 years old, he's not ready to participate in helping with clean-up or food serving etc. the way some of the older children do. However, he still benefits in having the social setting with his peers, his parents, and other students' parents while seeing the example of the children in the upper grades. There are also several events where the children get to perform in front of an audience of children and or adults such as dancing, plays, or public speaking.

We are so happy that my son has the opportunity to attend OLG. Our second son will also attend when he's old enough to enter kindergarten. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
