Open Quote My kid is less than 2 years old and I am a believer in montessori method of teaching. I thought about enrolling her in the toddler class so she can grow and build her personality while learning and interacting with her peers in a loving environment.

I will avoid to mention personal specific incidents that may not apply and could be considered "circumstances defined" but parents here is my observations with pure facts:
1- Unlike other schools where each parent has a code to access the school to see their children this is the school where you have to ring a bell wait outside and then brought in ( i don't know if i can say it is a coincidence but each time I drop to visit an administrator or someone from front desk will be rushing into the class to check on my kid!)
2- Unlike other schools , if you call to check on your kid on his/her FIRST week you either get a voice mail to LEAVE a message and expect a call back in 2 hrs or you receive a short very obvious "annoyed by your call" answer that your child is doing OK
3- Before you start you will have the chance to have an initial meeting with whom supposed to be the lead teacher. But wait don't get impressed your time is wasted by meeting with a teacher and discussing details and then your child will get exposed to not even one or two but three different filling teachers for so many reasons ( holiday care , promotions , hours to fill so don't get overpay,
4- They will not force your child to eat which i totally agree with but EXPECT your child to come home starving if he/she didn't eat or didn't know how to hold the spoon and the food fell on the ground. That's ok they have to learn .. but when your child come back home starving with a daily sheet that is totally blank of what he/she ate or snacked urinated or had a bowel movement and you call asking for what happened EXPECT a promise for a follow up but you will get no answer and within 1/2 hour you will receive an email warning you that your signature has to be neater and that this is your final warning
We got a call on the weekend from the principle asking us not to ruin the school order and if you leave earlier than the pick up time just wait outside DON't come in and mess up their order they don't like many parents dropping in that is many visits
I am not sure why it will bring chaos to the school if the school is perfect and there is nothing to hide . Close Quote

Open Quote Prior rating is ridiculous. My son has been attending the Sorrento Valley school for 3 years and the only "extra fees" that ever show up on my tuition result from dropping off late or picking up late chronically.

The school is not cheap but the level of care is superior. Headmistress Patel truly cares about every child in her care.

The only downside (which actually benefits the children) is there are lots of rules. Be prepared to follow them.

If you are concerned about money or convenience send your kid to some "chain" daycare; if you care about quality of care and education Kinderhouse is a great choice. Close Quote

Open Quote My kid was at the Racho Bernardo facility. Everything was so nice at the beginning. The teachers smiled to me and asked my child's situation. To my surprise, After I paid $700 for monthly half day care, there were more and more fees came to me every week. Don't fool me!! Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
