As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I hope after reading this review, the staff at this website would take the time out to review and re-rank this school again. I'm quite sure at the time of the first ranking the school's capacity was at a low. Since the 2010-11 school year began, Galileo has had a significant increase in its enrollment and warrants another review. My daughter took the G.A.T.E testing to be eligible to attend this school and was accepted in the Fall. Before moving to California, my daughter was in Private School in Georgia and she received the same amount of love, nurturing, challenging work that she was accustomed to receiving in her previous school. From Mrs. Campbell, the Principal to Ms. Laurie the administrative assistant, to her teachers Mr. Longshore and Mrs. Parrish, my daughter has received the BEST education she could possibly receive from a public setting. This school deserves all the recognition and outstanding education it merits. I urge schooldigger to take another look at this dynamic institution that is providing a safe and spirited environment full of wonderful and the most caring educators that I have had the pleasure of knowing. The leadership displayed by the Principal is incredible and a breath of fresh air from the normal mediocrity now demonstrated through out the educational system. If my family did not have to relocate to another state, my daughter would still be in that school until middle school. We will miss Mrs. Campbell, her staff and of course the Parents Association for all their dedication, hard work and genuine love of children and the need to create a safe and wonderful environment for children to learn and grow. We love and miss everyone at Galileo 101 and as a Mother and educator, I am eternally grateful for all you've done for my daughter A.Scott.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you....
Mrs. T. Scott Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
