As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote If I could put a half star I would. Getting paperwork faxed from the office once we moved from the school district was like pulling teeth. The father of my two boys could not get assistance in the office so I had to go in and demand a copy of my students IEP paperwork. Instead of working with my younger boy, they would call to have him picked up from school. He did not learn anything. They had a "Koala" book that made it seem like our kids were only being babysat and not taught anything at school and all learning would happen at home. My other boy was told by his 5th grade teacher in September that he had learned everything that would be taught for the semester. When we switched to a Kyrene school, the 5th grader had a hard time adjusting to the difference in work, subject matter, and expectations. He went from being one of, if not the smartest child in the school (literally), to being barely average in a better district. Close Quote

Open Quote My daughter went there last year for k grade. the last 3 months of school she didn't have a teacher they just put all the kids in random classrooms had no homework weren't even doing work at school because they had no teacher. Also the teachers there pull the kids around by they arms or pushing them in the back when they are trying to get them to line up. they teachers are short tempered and always yelling at the kids and i see this everyday for i am there every morning. this is a horrible school and i will be removing my child asap. and p.s Broadmor tempe elem. is just the same i had the same problem there. Tempe schools are horrible! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
