As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I'm writing this review in the hopes that it will bring some motivation and change to the school. When we toured the school last year, it seemed like an enthusiastic and above average place for my daughter. She was excited about the shop class which we were told was one of the few shop classes left in Arizona. We saw one particularly enthusiastic english teacher (7th grade) that really seemed to engage the kids. When we started the year last September we were told the shop class was no more which was incredibly disappointing. My daughter also did not get this english teacher and the teachers she did get (with the exception of the science teacher) were so lackluster and unqualified I am heartbroken we chose this school at all. Her english teacher seemed to have a lot in common with the kids (Harry Potter posters all over the walls) but she was so dull and immature as a teacher that my daughter was completely bored. There was NO homework in this class. The social studies teacher needs to retire. Period. She didn't even remember who my daughter was when we went to conferences and just seemed confused the whole time. The math class was average and the young aide teaching the class was very nice but again, nothing special. I am told the school had a new principal this year and as far as I can tell, the only thing he's done is last week (at the end of the year?) he changed the pick up lanes and where we can turn to pick up our children. I guess this will be his claim to fame. The PTA is clearly just running on fumes. The Dad's club seems fun and we donated to them two times this year hoping they will infuse some energy into this school. In all, if you are looking at this school for your child, know that unfortunately at this point, this is a completely average public school with nothing really interesting to offer, mostly unenthusiastic and under equipped teachers and no indication of changing (I really hope it does though). About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
