As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote STAY AWAY! We really liked the small environment at this school last year, but with all the changes in leadership it has gone down hill fast. They lost a lot of student enrollments so the remaining class sizes are now huge (35 students in a class). Also, the new school leader is a former first grade teacher who is in over her head, and on a huge power trip. She refuses to allow direct communication between teachers and parents, and insists she gets in the middle of everything. We are changing schools mid-year because it has gotten that bad. This school has a dirt yard and virtually no age-appropriate playground. It is supposed to be an "Arts Academy" but the new school leader fired the Art Teacher! It took over a 6 weeks to receive a report card, and their story (seriously!) is that my lower elementary age child took it out of his book bag and hid it from us. I had to ask for it before it being sent over. They are also in violation of our child's IEP, and we are reporting them for not adhering to it. I am serious, good teachers left this school, as well as a good administrator. Find a school that works with students and parents and helps all students succeed. Close Quote

Open Quote New management seems to have made this a place for "problem" children to come for daycare. Education and building the children that are "easy" seems to take a back seat to catering to the disruptive obnoxious children. At least a half dozen times one of my 3 children has come home with bite marks or a story about getting hit and never have I recieved a phone call from the principle. We have been at the school for 3 years and it has declined in both education and integrity each year. My kids will not be returning. School has chased away several good teachers and the ones that stay are visibly getting "tired" of the direction the school is going. Do not let the test scores fool you. They will stop most normal learning to cram for the aims test for almost 2 months so the school can boost test score numbers. If your kid has been asked to leave other schools for causing problems this is the place for you. They will never send your kid home for swearing at the teacher or even throwing furniture in class. They just get some quiet time then back to class. And no I am not bitter just disappointed. I actually know and like many of the teachers. Management of the school is terrible. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
