As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote The absolute worst high school ever. Girls are sexually assaulted too often and administration does not take it seriously when it is brought to their attention and sweeps it under the rug. Teachers and administration openly talk about students personal issues and confidential cases in front of other students. Emanuel Caravano is quite literally a piece of trash. He spoke to another teacher about how a boy that was reported for sexually assaulting had “been through enough” in front of other students including the girl he assaulted. Parents have tried to bring this issue to the board of ed meetings, which of course ended up being useless. Save your time and money and send pics your children literally anywhere else. Close Quote

Open Quote A big school but the staff and administration takes a very strategic approach to know the student body. Great school counselors and strong anti bullying program. Excellent STEM curriculum if your kids could make it to the placement and secure the classes. It tends to be very competitive but the kids help and support each other. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
